The way we shop is changing. In growing numbers, consumers abandon the brick-and-mortar locations of their favorite retailers, assuming those retailers have physical locations at all. Instead, consumers shop from their phones, tablets and laptops. The emergence and continuing growth of e-commerce has transformed not only how consumers interface with retailers, but also how, and where, retailers interface with consumers, and how retailers manage their inventory.
