CHIEF FINANCIAL & CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER
Scott Hodgkins, joined Xebec in November 2015 and currently serves as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Administrative Officer. Mr. Hodgkins oversees corporate strategic initiatives and planning, corporate level equity and debt transactions, and is responsible for overseeing the structuring and execution of corporate transactions for Xebec Holdings, LLC, Xebec Logistics Trust, LP, and the Company’s other affiliated entities. As Chief Financial and Chief Administrative Officer, Mr. Hodgkins oversees non-real estate corporate operating functions, including corporate finance, financial reporting, treasury, regulatory compliance and human resources. Mr. Hodgkins is a member of the Company’s Investment Committee.
Prior to joining Xebec, Mr. Hodgkins was a partner in the Los Angeles office of Latham & Watkins, LLP where he practiced as a capital markets and securities lawyer, focusing on the public and private issuance of debt and equity securities, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance matters. While at Latham, Mr. Hodgkins served for six years as global chair of the firm’s public company representation practice group. Mr. Hodgkins’ practice spanned multiple industries and practice groups, including REITs and real estate where he represented real estate companies or investment banks and capital market sources in REIT related securities and merger transactions, including the formation transactions, initial and subsequent public offerings, and selected merger and acquisition transactions, for companies including AMB Property Corporation (now Prologis), Kilroy Realty Corporation, American Golf Corporation, AvalonBay, and STORE Capital Corp. among others.
Prior to joining Latham in 1995, Mr. Hodgkins was a Senior Tax Manager in the Los Angeles office of Ernst & Whinney (now EY), specializing in corporate mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Hodgkins attended the University of Southern California where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 1982 (Cum Laude), a Master’s of Business Taxation degree in 1991, and a Juris Doctor in 1992 (Order of the Coif). Mr. Hodgkins is a member of the California State Bar, and was licensed in California as a Certified Public Accountant (currently inactive), and is a former member of the California and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
